A beautiful pair of boulders balanced by nature. No, giants have not been playing with stacking rocks, though it certainly looks that way! The rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park have become visible by the process of billions of years of erosion, ironically for a Desert - erosion by water. The rock piles themselves were formed by plate tectonics and volcanic activity. As erosion has occurred, these huge rock piles have become visible to stand as they are now! Most definitely, one of the most unique places on the planet.
